Appointment of Aurélie Lapidus
Aurélie Lapidus, Inspectrice Générale des Finances, has been appointed Secretary General of the French Ministries of Economy and Finance.
A graduate of Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Sciences Po Paris and ENA, she began her career in 1997 as a diplomat at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
From 1999 to 2001, she was advisor to the Minister of Employment and Solidarity, in charge of European and international affairs. She then joined France's Permanent Representation to the European Union as advisor on environment and climate issues.
After graduating from ENA in 2008, Aurélie Lapidus joined the Inspection générale des finances as a financial inspector. Advisor to the General Secretariat for European Affairs (SGAE) from September 2012 to 2014, she then became Deputy Secretary General for European Affairs. At the same time, she was European Affairs Advisor in the Prime Minister's Office.
She joined Veolia in 2017, where she successively held the positions of Chief of Staff to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director of Hauts-de-France and Managing Director of Veolia France.of Veolia Recyclage et Valorisation des Déchets, then Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Veolia Water Tech.
In the fall of 2025, she returned to the Inspection générale des finances as Inspectrice générale des finances.
