Alban Genais, Inspector of Finance, has been appointed Head of the Financial and General Affairs Department at the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Culture.
A former ENA student, he began his career as an administrator with the Law Commission at the French National Assembly, before joining the General Inspectorate of Finance in 2018.
A lecturer in public finance at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and in public law and economics at Sciences Po, he joined France's Permanent Representation to the European Union in 2021 as financial advisor.
From 2022 to 2025, he was deputy director of Tracfin, Bercy's financial intelligence service.
